Intubation

An endotracheal intubation is a medical procedure in which a tube is placed into the windpipe (trachea). This is done to open the airway to give a patient oxygen, medication, or anesthesia. After an intubation, the patient will likely be placed on a machine called a respirator that will help him or her breath while the tube is in place.

Line Placement including Swan-Ganz Catheter

Line Placement including Swan-Ganz Catheter is the passing of a thin tube (catheter) into the right side of the heart.

The procedure is done to see blood movement through the heart and to monitor the heart's function in people who are very ill.
